We undertake Public Transport projects under Public Private Partnership initiative taken by Central Government under the scheme of JnNURM from City administration. Under the scheme entire responsibility to run City bus operation is given to private player wherein the bus operator is responsible for running & maintenance of the buses, recruitment of crew, collection of revenue etc. Our capability includes planning and designing of routes, schedules and frequency, training and monitoring performance of crew members and overall management of city bus operations.

 

Public transportation improves the quality of life in communities across the country by providing safe, efficient and economical service. It also serves as a vital component necessary for a healthy economy. Public transit not only benefits the people using it but also society as a whole.
Purple’s City-Bus business on Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis is spread in various cities across India.
These operations are conducted in partnership with the local authorities of respective city and can be broadly divided into 2 types of models from Investment and Revenue risk point of view:

Hiring model Revenue model
Contracts with local authorities for purchase, operation and maintenance of Buses provided to them for running on city routes, on PPP basis for 5 to 7 years with minimum guaranteed kms @ a pre-agreed rate per km (with automatic inflationary rise year to year) to be received by PBL on fortnightly basis. Contracts with local authorities for purchase, operation and maintenance of Buses for running on certain permitted routes in the city, on PPP basis for about 7 years with revenue risk (i.e. ticketing rights) with the operator
