Bhopal is the second largest state of India, Purple runs the City Bus projects of around 150 buses.
This is a PPP project (Public Private Partnership) under GOI's JnNURM scheme. We carry 80,000 passengers daily with crew strength of 724 people.
The operation is supported by GPS, Electronic Ticketing, Smart Card with efficient local and centralized Control Rooms and Research Center. Our business operation starts from issuing the ticket till feet maintenance.
On Dec 6, 2011 this project was honored the National Award for Best public transportation under the category "Best PPP Initiative in Urban Transport 2011". The award was given by Union Urban Development Minister Mr. Kamal Nath in New Delhi.
